Much better in game 2 but Rockies are in a hole

Must give credit to the Red Sox pitching staff for another stellar effort in the Rocktober World Series game 2. Boston is playing very well right now. Very impressive effort.

The Colorado Rockies played a much better game tonight. They proved that they could bounce back from a terrible lopsided defeat. Unfortunately the Rockies came up short and are now in a 2-0 hole. But the close game should be a boost for their confidence.

The good news: the Series now moves to Denver's Coors Field for the next 3 games where the Rockies will gain home field advantage. No more rabid and loud Red Sox fans. No more designated hitter. No more Green Monster. Welcome to the cavernous outfield and the humidor of Colorado. The pitchers will bat. Beckett and Schilling have plenty of National League experience. We'll probably see Beckett in Game 5 but Schilling is likely done until/unless the series goes back to Fenway Park.

Everything is pointing to a series win and world championship for the Boston Red Sox. But don't count out the Rockies. They were in a much bigger hole in the middle of September and they responded by winning every single game. That's what they need to do now. Win every single game. Boston is a much tougher opponent than anyone the Rockies have played all season - even better than the Red Sox team that lost to Colorado in June. If the Rockies win every game, they'll bring the championship to Colorado.

It's ROCKTOBER! ROCK ON!
